Services
EWHS provides three key services: Acute Care, Primary Care, and Aged Care.
Acute Care
In Acute Care, we provide urgent care services, acute medical beds, and diagnostic services. Additionally, a renal dialysis service is available at the Donald campus, ensuring comprehensive care for clients with immediate and critical medical needs.
Primary Care
Primary Care includes a broad range of preventative health services accessible across our five campuses. These include community health nursing, diabetes education, dietetics, a district nursing service, health promotion, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, planned activity groups, and social work, all aimed at supporting overall wellbeing and preventing health issues.
Aged Care
For Aged Care, we provide residential aged care beds and several support services. These include Aged Care Assessment Services, post-acute care, the Hospital Admission Risk Program, and planned activity groups, all designed to enhance the quality of life for older community members.
EWHS has transitioned from a traditional bed-based service delivery model to a community-based preventative model of care. This shift has led to a steady expansion of community-based services, reflecting EWHS’ commitment to providing comprehensive and accessible healthcare to the community.
